| Weimar's economy is based on agriculture, manufacturing, healthcare and retail businesses. Manufacturing ranges from U-TEX, the city's largest employer, a non-polluting factory producing gaskets and seals, to Double B Food, Inc., a rapidly growing food exporter.
M-G Feed Mill, a large producer of livestock and other animal foods, is headquartered in Weimar, along with its big M-G Farm Service Center.
